For seven years, I worked as a supervisor for an external lift company, managing teams on high-risk construction sites across the UK. It was a world of zero-tolerance for error, strict logistics, and high-pressure deadlines. While I progressed through the ranks, I found myself searching for a different kind of fulfillment, a place where I could combine my obsession for detail with my passion for cars.
Helping a family friend with his business lit the spark. I saw the immediate impact of high-quality work and the genuine appreciation from clients. I started TJB Solutions as a weekend venture, testing my methods on close friends and family, and educating myself on the complex "DNA" of modern clear coats.
By 2021, the demand for my "supervisor-level" precision meant I could leave the construction sites behind. Now, in 2026, TJB Solutions is a premier mobile unit with a growing list of loyal maintenance clients who trust me to maintain their pride and joy.
Automotive DNA: Panels, Rallies, and Precision
My technical standard isn't just learned; it’s inherited. Growing up, my father was a professional panel beater, and my uncle was a mechanic with his own garage where he built and maintained rally cars.
Watching those cars being prepared for competition, specifically the Mitsubishi Evo 5, my all-time favourite taught me that a car is more than just transport; it’s a machine that deserves respect. That upbringing gave me a deep understanding of how paint behaves, how metal is formed, and why "good enough" is never actually enough.
